Psalms and Hymns and Spiritual songs

From the practice of the first century believers until today, the use of psalms, hymns and spiritual songs has played an important part in the spiritual life and corporate worship of God’s people. For example,

“And about midnight Paul and Silas, while praying, sang hymns of praise to God; and the prisoners were listening to them. (Acts 16:25)

“Be filled in spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and psalming with your heart to the Lord.” (Eph. 5:18b-19)

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to God.” (Col. 3:16)

“What is it then brother? Whenever you come together, each one has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation…” (1 Cor. 14:26)

“Saying, ‘I will declare You name to My brothers; in the midst of the church I will sing hymns of praise to You.'” (Heb. 2:12)

So, on this page, I would like to foster a richer enjoyment of the deeper hymns of the godly believers. Here you will find words of appreciation and links to such hymns and spiritual songs. For simplicity they will be listed alphabetically by first line:
